Geography Quiz #3: The colonized world in around 1914.

This quiz is slightly different from the previous ones in that your job in the quiz will consist of TWO tasks: 1) you will place the territories below on blank maps provided; 2) in the case of each of the territories, you will indicate which colonial power claimed sovereignty over it. In some cases (e.g., China, Mongolia, Persia, etc.), the territories in question remained formally independent and should be labelled that way on the quiz. For the purposes of this exercise, you may treat ALL of the territory of India as being under British rule. The territories you will need to know are: IN ASIA: Mongolia (=Outer Mongolia), Siam, China, Malayan States, Australia, Philippines, India, Indochina (=Laos, Cambodia & Vietnam), Korea, Burma, Persia, Netherlands (Dutch) East Indies; IN AFRICA: Madagascar, Algeria, Libya, Eritrea, Union of South Africa, Morocco, Italian Somaliland, Nigeria, Egypt, Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, French West Africa, French Equatorial Africa, German East Africa, Angola, Mozambique, British East Africa, Rhodesia, German Southwest Africa, Ethiopia, Belgian Congo.
